Firefighting Open Innovation Lab – CILIFO celebra el Día Internacional de la Juventud

12.08.2020. El Día Internacional de la Juventud brinda la oportunidad de celebrar e incorporar las voces, acciones e iniciativas de los jóvenes, así como su participación significativa, universal y equitativa. Según la página web de las Naciones Unidas el tema del Día Internacional de la Juventud 2020, “Compromiso de los jóvenes para la acción mundial”, busca resaltar las formas en que la participación de los jóvenes a nivel local, nacional y mundial está enriqueciendo las instituciones y procesos nacionales y multilaterales, además de extraer lecciones de cómo se puede mejorar significativamente su representación y participación en la política institucional formal. El Centro Ibérico de Investigación y Lucha contra los Incendios Forestales (CILIFO) se alinea con este día internacional formando parte del programa Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY), que ofrece a jóvenes voluntarios entre 18 y 30 años la oportunidad de actuar como voluntarios en proyectos transfronterizos, transnacionales o programas interregionales y proyectos relacionados. IVY es parte de la Iniciativa del Cuerpo Europeo de Solidaridad lanzada por la Comisión Europea y es un programa que permite realizar pasantías dentro de una asociación de proyecto Interreg aprobada. En esta línea, CILIFO está financiado en un 75% por el Programa de Cooperación Transfronteriza Interreg VA España – Portugal – POCTEP (2014-2020). La dimensión de CILIFO con la formación de jóvenes es de alta importancia social para un desafío: la inserción laboral.

Firefighting Open Innovation Lab – CILIFO celebrates International Youth Day

International Youth Day provides an opportunity to celebrate and incorporate the voices, actions and initiatives of young people, and their meaningful, universal and equitable participation. According to the UN website, the theme of International Youth Day 2020, “Youth Commitment for Global Action”, seeks to highlight the ways in which youth participation at local, national and global levels is enriching national and multilateral institutions and processes, as well as to draw lessons on how their representation and participation in formal institutional policy can be significantly improved. The Iberian Centre for Research and Fight against Forest Fires (CILIFO) is aligning itself with this international day by being part of the Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY) programme, which offers young volunteers between 18 and 30 years old the opportunity to volunteer in cross-border, transnational or interregional programmes and related projects. IVY is part of the European Solidarity Body Initiative launched by the European Commission and is a programme that allows internships to be carried out within an approved Interreg project partnership. In this line, CILIFO is 75% funded by the Interreg VA Spain – Portugal – POCTEP (2014-2020) Cross-border Cooperation Programme. CILIFO’s dimension with the training of young people is of high social importance for a challenge: labour insertion.

Convocatoria European Green Deal

03.08.2020. Prevención y lucha contra los incendios forestales extremos con la integración y demostración de medios innovadores. Combatir el cambio climático y hacer que Europa sea neutral frente al clima para 2050 es una de las principales prioridades de la Comisión Europea. Por ello, esta convocatoria del European Green Deal movilizará la investigación y la innovación para fomentar una transición social justa y sostenible con el objetivo de ‘no dejar a nadie atrás’. Se apoyarán: aplicaciones piloto, proyectos de demostración y productos innovadores; innovación para una mejor gobernanza de la transición verde y digital; e innovación social y de cadena de valor. La convocatoria contiene 11 áreas. Ocho áreas temáticas que reflejan los flujos de trabajo clave del European Green Deal. Los temas se dirigen a innovaciones tecnológicas y sociales específicas de alto impacto que pueden ayudar a avanzar en la transición sostenible con relativa rapidez. Tres áreas horizontales (fortalecimiento del conocimiento, empoderamiento de los ciudadanos y cooperación internacional) que abarcan las ocho áreas temáticas y ofrecen una perspectiva a más largo plazo para lograr las transformaciones establecidas en el Acuerdo Verde Europeo. Área 1: AUMENTO DE LA AMBICIÓN CLIMÁTICA Y EL IMPACTO DEL GREEN DEAL CON SOLUCIONES TRANSVERSALES 1.1. Prevención y lucha contra los incendios forestales extremos con la integración y demostración de medios innovadores Objetivo: reducir la incidencia y el alcance de los incendios forestales y aumentar la capacidad de predecir y gestionar los desastres ambientales acelerando la I+D, integrando, adaptando y demostrando soluciones holísticas listas para aumentar la escala y el despliegue a nivel local, regional, nacional, comunitario e internacional. Actividades propuestas: Investigación ambiental, climática y socioeconómica, predicción y estrategia (por ejemplo, biomasa). Investigación, innovación y pre-despliegue de mejores sistemas y técnicas terrestres y aéreas y capacidades (físicas y digitales) para prevenir, predecir, controlar, extinguir y recuperar. European Green Deal call

03.08.2020. Preventing and fighting extreme forest fires by integrating and demonstrating innovative means. Combating climate change and making Europe climate neutral by 2050 is one of the main priorities of the European Commission. This is why this call for the European Green Deal will mobilise research and innovation to promote a fair and sustainable social transition with the aim of ‘leaving no one behind’. It will support: pilot applications, demonstration projects and innovative products; innovation for better governance of the green and digital transition; and social and value chain innovation. The call contains 11 areas. Eight thematic areas reflecting the key workflows of the European Green Deal. The themes target specific high-impact technological and social innovations that can help to advance the sustainable transition relatively quickly. Three horizontal areas (knowledge strengthening, citizens’ empowerment and international cooperation) covering all eight thematic areas and offering a longer term perspective for achieving the transformations set out in the European Green Deal. El presidente de la Junta de Andalucía apoya el Proyecto CILIFO de investigación y tecnología 3.0 de lucha contra los incendios en Doñana

30.07.2020. El presidente de la Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, impulsa la Eurorregión Alentejo-Algarve­ Andalucía en el Palacio del Acebrón de Doñana haciendo gala de un @Plan_INFOCA preparado y dotado de avanzada tecnología para luchar contra los incendios 3.0. Durante el acto, celebrado el martes, 28 de julio de 2020, se realizaron demostraciones de los Sistemas Aplicados a la Gestión de Emergencias por Incendio Forestal en el marco del Proyecto CILIFO. Recientemente, el Disositivo lnfoca ha implantado un sistema de localización de medios terrestres basado en comunicaciones por satélite. También se mostraron los sistemas de obtención de información operativa mediante Drones. INFOCA, desde hace varios años, ha implantado el uso de aeronaves no tripuladas (RPAS o Drones) para obtener información acerca del estado de los incendios durante el período nocturno. En el acto han estado presentes la consejera de Agricultura, Ganadería, Pesca y Desarrollo Sostenible, Carmen Crespo, el presidente de la comisión de Coordinación y Desarrollo Regional (CCDR) de Algarve, Francisco Serra, el presidente de la Comisión de Coordinación y Desarrollo Regional de Alentejo, Joaquín Roberto Pereira Grilo y en representación de la Agencia, el Director Gerente, Javier De Torre Mandri y varios compañeros como Amador Moreno Robles, Francisco Senra Rivero y un grupo de bomberos forestales de Hinojos y de Almonte pertenecientes a la base de cabezudos.

The President of the Andalusian Regional Government supports the CILIFO Project for research and technology 3.0 for fighting fires in Doñana

The President of the Andalusian Government, Juanma Moreno, promotes the Euroregion Alentejo-Algarve Andalucía in the Acebrón de Doñana Palace by showing a ‘Plan_INFOCA’ prepared and equipped with advanced technology to fight fires 3.0. During the event, held on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, demonstrations of the Systems Applied to Forest Fire Emergency Management in the framework of the CILIFO Project were carried out. Recently, the Infocus Device has implemented a system for locating terrestrial means based on satellite communications. The systems for obtaining operational information using Drones were also shown. INFOCA, for several years, has implemented the use of unmanned aircraft (RPAS or Drones) to obtain information about the state of the fires during the night period. The event was attended by the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Sustainable Development, Carmen Crespo, the president of the Commission for Coordination and Regional Development (CCDR) of the Algarve, Francisco Serra, the president of the Commission for Coordination and Regional Development of Alentejo, Joaquin Roberto Pereira Grilo and representing the Agency, the Managing Director, Javier De Torre Mandri and several colleagues as Amador Moreno Robles, Francisco Senra Rivero and a group of forest firefighters from Hinojos and Almonte belonging to the base of cabezudos.

28.07.2020. Biscay Bay Startup Campus (BBSC) es el mayor encuentro de jóvenes empresarios del sur de Europa, organizado por Startup Campus. Por tercer año consecutivo se celebran los BBSC Awards, para premiar todo tipo de soluciones de carácter tecnológico y humanístico con impacto global. Las catástrofes mundiales como las pandemias, los desastres naturales o las crisis económicas están desafiando el sistema político, económico y social. Este año, también buscan ideas y proyectos de cualquier industria, y en fase early stage, que combatan sus efectos, haciendo uso de ingenio y tecnología. Biscay Bay Startup Campus rewards projects that solve global disasters with up to 17,500 €

28.07.2020. Biscay Bay Startup Campus (BBSC) is the largest gathering of young entrepreneurs in southern Europe, organized by Startup Campus. For the third consecutive year, the BBSC Awards are held to reward all types of technological and humanistic solutions with a global impact. Global disasters such as pandemics, natural disasters or economic crises are challenging the political, economic and social system. This year, they are also looking for ideas and projects from any industry, and at an early stage, that combat their effects, making use of ingenuity and technology.
